Ask the guy in the second video. If he remembers racing a black GT.:wink: Ive seen High 9 second demons. And very low 10 second redeyes on a tire. Last month. So I don't think you goal is out of reach. If your there alot. You've seen the b5 Blue redeye. Think the owners name is jim. He's went 10.0s@136-37. With a little damper hocus pocus. And removing his swap bar. So the kittys are quick on a tire. It'll be interesting to see what the GT500 will do on a radial. Voodoo is a local guy also. I bet he'd be willing to take a crack at the fat cats. In his GT500.

This is Jim going 9.94...I have seen him go 9.87 and 9.88 but did not get video...I am sure VooDoo will be looking to slay some Fat Cats.
I have seen a few videos of him running.
I know the car is like almost completely gutted but still very impressive.

Ahh good for Jim. He's a nice guy. He was stuck at 10.0. Last time I talked to him & his son. And yea, that's the car I'm referring to. Dampers, sway and weight removed. Apperently gets you a 9.8-9.9. So it don't take much.

Should do high 10.3x in hero conditions all stock.
Do you really think you are going to pickup three tenths by going from Texas Motorplex when the track surface was just about perfect conditions with a DA was 350/500 DA and going to another track with mineshaft( hero) condition?I just do not see going from 10.60ET to 10.30ET with the only change being DA.

Do you really think you are going to pickup three tenths by going from Texas Motorplex when the track surface was just about perfect conditions with a DA was 350/500 DA and going to another track with mineshaft( hero) condition?I just do not see going from 10.60ET to 10.30ET with the only change being DA.
Going from 10.61 to 10.39 is just over 2 tenths.
I think it’s very possible with very good weather.

Weather and Track was pretty dam good on the 10.61ET pass at the Texas Motorplex.

My math I was using was 10.61Et to 10.31Et.LOl
Weather was pretty dam good on the 10.61ET pass.
Pretty good.
On the 10.61 pass, the weather was 73 degrees and DA of 975

Racers do not wear coats in Texas when the weather is 73 degrees.
More like 50 degrees and 350/500DA when he made his second pass late in the day.
Check out the Demonology Video on this post and he will confirm weather conditions that day.

How many world records set at Texas motorplex vs Atco/MIR/Cecil?

To be honest I really do not know how many world records were set at the Texas Motorplex,but what I do know is on December 10,2019 David Van Voris set the world record in his 2018 Turbo Mustang Gt Gen3 Coyote stock motor with stock oil pump gears at 8.44ET 161MPH.

if you didnt know thats a rhetorical statement, its probably not worth our time debating 1/4 mile performance

Really,what I am saying is the Texas Motorplex is a great track with great weather and DA in the month of December and you guys are not going to run 10.30ET by changing tracks in a stock ShelbyGt500.JMO

Incorrect. DA has a direct bearing on the time a car runs. The difference between +350 Texas DA. And -2000 Atco DA is huge. Maybe .2 to .3 tenths. And 1 or 2 mile per hour ET.
