Has anyone else had intermittent puff of smoke coming From the hood vent when coming to a stop? The oil has been changed but I have not seen any leaks. I have searched the forum

Sounds like you may have the valve cover spark plug oil leak problem covered by a Customer Satisfaction Program applicable to I believe all 2022 GT500’s. You can check Ford.com with your VIN to see if yours is flagged. My Ford dealer gave me a loaner vehicle and fixed both of the CSP issues for my 22 in 5 days.

One place this has been discussed in the forum is here:

Who changed the oil? The engineers were so brilliant when they made the belly pan extend beyond the drain hole. If you don’t put a rag in that gap oil will drop on the tray and get on your exhaust when you drive.

This might be a stupid question, but are you driving it in the rain? If not then yeah you got some sorta leak or spillage you gotta inspect under the hood.

Its not a big deal adding the oil. If a mechanic can't do such a simple task as adding oil then that is just a shit mechanic....

Who said anything about adding oil? I said the oil drain. So how does your reply help anyone?
Same applies to the drain plug.

Cool, whats your point? How does any of that help the OP with his issue?
Alrit fair enough. I think the OP got the answer from Wonko above.

Or, he had oil on his belly pan…like I said…considering he specifically stated he’s had an oil change and it’s a known issue for GT500s if minimum-wage service lane techs aren’t paying attention.

No one is denying it may be an oil leak. The techs are garbage no doubt. I was in the lube department back in the day so I know. I was just trying explain how its incompetent techs not the engineers "design."

I have already had the valve cover swap and the dealer changed the oil. I am going to take it and put it on the lift to inspect the belly pan. Really strange that it doesn't every time I stop. I've looked under the hood but have found nothing.

Same thing happens to my '20 R, 3-4 different times since new, 8900 miles atm. Usually in cooler outside temperatures, lasts a few seconds each time. No clue what it could be.

Same concept as when you shoot a pistol, and after the shot, there is a waft of smoke that rolls out. It's a design feature, not flaw.

You all are looking at the problem wrong.

Sorry OP, I am no help, but I'd give it a few days and if it doesn't stop, take it in.
