I think I'm going to like the new Mustang. So much so that like many others here I put my money where my mouth is an ordered the GT PP. That said, I wanted to hear what other people have experienced/worry about the car up front. I have a few asks/gripes!

1) I wish the Recaros had optional heat, esp given the premium. Totally get why others may not want it depending on location and weight savings

2) A larger fuel tank. It always surprises me when automakers stick these performance cars with tiny tanks. I'm not concerned about mpg (my current car averages 13), but a 16 gallon tank means frequent fuel stops on the GT (can folks share what range they are getting on current GT's). The ecoboost will be better (I wouldn't personally get it) but they SHRUNK the tank size there by half a gallon! How about the GT350 and other performance versions, assuming Ford (like other manufacturers) keeps the same tank size, we're talking about a tiny range - kind of like my car right now. It can be frustrating if you drive the car often or far. Friend of mine has the CTS-V wagon (loves it) but seriously hates the tiny range - its almost ridiculous.

3) The ordering process has been a PITA with confusion on what 68B, Redline is and their compatibility with the Recaros! Ford has reps on this forum, they or the dealer or someone should communicate with customers to explain what is going on rather than let us order and keep us hanging.

4) Thrilled those of us who like bold colors have been offered RR, CO and TY. Wouldnt mind seeing GB make a come back and GHIG.

5) Prolly the only one, but I would have appreciated the glass roof. I dont know whether I would actually order the thing if they offered it (kind of like how many Euro fan buddies of mine always complain about the lack of manual performance wagon options but never end up buying them, LOL!), but sat in a Stang with one and it felt really airy and bright inside.

Other than that, not much to complain so far. I realize a lot of folks are not happy about the lack of auto and PP, and the lack of wheel choice with the PP (it is is surprising to me that they havent included more wheels with the PP), but I dig the black wheels personally so no issue there.

I would like yo have the nicer 8" stereo without having to get leather. The standard stereo is really ugly.

A satin/flat black wheel option would be nice.

I may be alone on this, but I hate the rear of the car. The tail lights are way too tall, especially when compared to the sleek headlights.

What is kind of amusing is that there is a partial HUD with the Adaptive Cruise / Collision Mitigation. It flashes red on the windshield apparently, per the dealer guide.

Doesn't appear to have a digital speedo in between gauges. Since it doesn't have HUD would be nice to have for a quick speed check on track. Hopefully I'm wrong and its in a menu I haven't seen in pics yet.

Unless they have added it to the center 4.2" screen, I don't think we'll get a digital speedometer. I'd really like to see that added to the "gauge" view on that screen.

Seems like it would be relatively easy to implement, considering they are obviously already tracking such data points for the acceleration measurement features.

My wish list:

1) I wish the 2015's door panels still weren't hard plastic like the 2005-2014s. They feel like I'm in an interior designed by Rubbermaid with some soft-touch panels tacked on. No excuse for hard plastic in a premium model costing $35K-$50K considering the 2014 Focus and Fusion, for example, use nicer materials for their door panels and are cheaper cars.

2) Get rid of the ugly coolant recovery tanks shown on the prototypes and replace them with something at least as nice as the black-topped tanks used on the 2005-2014s.

3) Eliminate the 1st-2nd gear skip-shift feature on the 6-speed manual. The 2011-2014s have it and I'm assuming the 2015s have it, too.

4) Eliminate the hood prop rod.

5) Offer a delete option for the front splitter. It is too easily damaged when parking or when debris hits them while driving on the highway. If the retaining clips pull through the bumper after something impacts the splitter, an entire new bumper may be needed in order to reattach the splitter. Ain't cheap! The splitter is fine for the track, but not at all practical on the street. Speaking from experience.

Yup, seems like a no-brainer to me to simply add the small amount of software needed to put this on the screen. The mechanical speedometer is not the only way for the car to know it's speed at this point, anyway. I'm sure (*cough* black box *cough*) the computer already has access to that information.

Oh man, I completely forgot about this feature. I had it on my 2011 GT and despised it with the fire of a 1000 Suns.

I believe this feature was removed in 2013 - I haven't noticed it in either the 2013 or 2014 GTs I've driven.
