I got 24.5 going and 25 coming in a recent trip for work (~330 miles each way). This is in a GT with 3.55 gears.

Should have put a 18-20 gallon tank in the GT. I get an average of 16MPG. But I am a "Spirited Driver" Yes.....

I've gotten over 400 miles to one tank in my GT PP fyi

like once lol

Lemme guess, you were in a high speed chase with the cops for 100 miles when they threw a spike strip down to stop you, popped your two front tires so had to tow the car to the nearest impound which happened to be 300 miles away because you live in butt fuck Egypt?

My last car which was a VW CC had an 18 gallon tank and I would average 530 miles between fills. With the mustang and same mostly highway commute I get about 330 miles to a tank.

I'm getting about 19-20 mpg, and I do about 70% highway driving. Granted, I usually got my cruise set for 80 mph (give or take) with 3.55 gears.

Hopefully an aftermarket gas tank or expansion tank will come out in the future.

I usually average 20 a tank in my GTPP but I have had tanks as low as 13 and as high as 25.6

IMO, the size of the tank is perfect. City is not great but no shocker there...Adequate for long road trips as the mpg improve.

I don't want to be in a Mustang and drive for 500-600 miles non-stop. It's good to get out and stretch the legs and do whatever business during a fill-up.

Not sure what taking a piss and stretching has to do with fuel tank size...Might be taking that a bit too literal though!

I wish my ST had a 16 gallon tank!

Lets also not forget cost. Safety regulations on fuel tanks are very strict, therefore tanks become expensive. Smaller tank means less materials to build said tank so Ford can sell the car for less money.

Then you clearly have no reading comprehension :lol:and I'm not going to repeat or explain myself if you cant understand.
Clearly someone cannot take a joke and is only capable of insults to what was clearly meant to be a joke. Not my problem.

Hindsight being 20/20, I should have figured someone would take it too seriously; this being the internet after all. :headbonk:
