So I'm getting up to speed on some of the small bolt-on mods that guys are doing to their 6G Mustangs. I've see 3 so far that seem pretty popular.

1) Metal coolant expansion tank
2) Cat back exhaust system (Ford/Borla system)
3) PCV oil separator/oil catch can

Question is, does this new 5.0L V8 have an issue with sucking too much oil out of the PCV system that it requires a separator/catch can?

Any other cool bolt-on mods going on?

I've got all three of those, and very happy with all of them!

So does this 5.0L V8 really need an oil separator/catch-can? Of do people just put them on for added insurance that no oil from the PCV system is getting sucked into the intake manifold?

I found a pretty long oil separator/catch-can thread, and it looks like they do collect a significant amount of oil. Might have to get one, brand based on the member's posting info.
