I had a 17 vert and I looked for 6 years to no avail. I guess there is not enough demand for a vert specific version. Try using a factory sub box and just put in a better sub than what ford provides. You could always be the guinea pig and buy a coupe box and see if it fits and make modifications as needed if the factory box doesn't suit your needs.
I might just do that.

Does anybody have feedback to give on the Skar sub enclosure for the passenger corner of the trunk? I’m thinking of the empty enclosure and putting a different woofer in it. I’m just curious about the quality of the enclosure itself, since the JL box is priced so high.
I just made one for my 2017 350.. wasn't to bad just time consuming. If you need one made let me know and I'll send some info

The Skar enclosure is really nice. Trying to mount it to the existing holes is pretty difficult. There are no holes in the bottom. Just the push pin hole on top.

Sounds incredible, I'd say its 2 to 3x more powerful then the oem sub and significantly better sounding.

Thanks for the pics and feedback!

I notice the enclosure doesnt match the OE enclosure's footprint, leaving a bit of bare metal floor exposed. That's nitpicking though, easy enough to remedy.

Since this thread came back up, I figured I should post an update. Ended up buying it in the unloaded version. I installed a Rockford P3 12ā€ which barely fit. I had to remove the rubber ring off of the back of the magnet and file the hole a little larger to get it to go, but I got it in there. The loaded enclosure is a snug fit and it doesn’t seem to be able to move around. It did well, looks like it belongs there, and sounds good. I think it’s a great option for the price. I wasn’t looking for massive bass, so if that’s your priority, there’s probably better options for you. A bigger 12 tha would handle huge power most likely wouldn’t fit. Overall, I’m happy with it.

How is it with the other sub in there?

I bought the empty version and added my own sub. I haven't heard the version with the Skar sub in it, so I cant comment on that one.
Sorry, that’s what I meant- how is it with the Rockford in it? Does the volume match the recommendation from Rockford? Seeing as you had to slightly modify to get it to fit, I thought it might not be the best driver for the enclosure, but the actual performance will be the final say.

I forget what the recommended enclosure volume was for that woofer, but the enclose volume was within the recommended range. It was the physical size and depth of the magnet that was the issue with the fit.

I’m happy with the sound. It is pretty tight and accurate, but has good low end extension. With the cabin gain, there is plenty of energy down to 20hz with minimal eq needed. I am driving it with an Arc Audio 5 channel amp, so the single sub channel is 500W. I am also using an Arc Audio. DSP for tuning, but again, the sub didn’t need much in the way of correction.

I have a 2021 convertible with the factory 9 speaker system. Wanted to add a subwoofer. Bought a used convertible factory enclosure on ebay for $200.00. Installed a 10" JL woofer and amp. Huge improvement and factory-looking installation. Very pleased.

Skar stopped selling unloaded enclosures for our cars so need to buy a loaded one, even if you plan using a different sub šŸ˜ž

I'm on two stero Facebook group and I am more glad to read the comments here. People hate and love different stero equipment. Mainly skar, tramps, and sundown audio. It's surprising how many people love to hate on a product. Keep up the professional attitude

Oh wow I didn’t know that, must be something they’ve recently discontinued as I’ve only had mine for about six months or so..
