If your still looking at this box, I ordered the loaded box with the 12" sub, it should be here on 1/30, I'll reply with my thoughts sometime this weekend.
I'll say I'm pretty happy wit this enclosure for the price point, its fiberglass and feels sturdy in the hands. It fits like a glove in the passenger corner as expected, I'll be powering this off of the oem shaker amp, I can provide feedback on that soon if anyone's interested.
Yup the entire thing is pure fiberglass, it feels nice and sturdy when holding it, I think you'll be satisfied with it overall.
I had a 17 vert and I looked for 6 years to no avail. I guess there is not enough demand for a vert specific version. Try using a factory sub box and just put in a better sub than what ford provides. You could always be the guinea pig and buy a coupe box and see if it fits and make modifications as needed if the factory box doesn't suit your needs.
Did you get this installed how does their speaker sound? I have the 6 speaker system and need more oomph but don’t wanna shake my fillings out either
I powered this with the oem shaker amp and it was awful. I ended up pairing this with a 1200w skar audio amp, and this sub sounds incredible, super clean bass that hits hard, just as you would expect from a sealed enclosure, worth every penny. I'd recommend it for any mustang.
Sounds incredible, I'd say its 2 to 3x more powerful then the oem sub and significantly better sounding.
