I've subscribed for years to XM and was thinking of adding the Shelby. But, gonna play hardball with the price since streaming tunes over cellular is a good option.

This thread is to share what SiriusXM is charging us for our subscriptions. I'll admit I am being brutally ripped off to the tune of about $200 per year just for one lousy car radio and internet radio service.

I like XM and would not want to lose it, but I hate getting soaked like I am right now, and am looking to pay far less for 2 car radios and internet service.

1 radio, annual fee 131.88 + royalty 18.33 = 150.21
1 internet radio access annual fee 48.00 + royalty fee 6.67 = 54.67
Total = $204.88

you gotta call every few months, they were doing a 6month/30 recently, but it was for basic radio, if you want the premium channels you gotta pay, i just need my sports talk and a handful of music stations and im good, so i just call every time my shit is going to expire, they give me 5 or 6 months for 25 or 30. its a pain in the ass but worth the ten min call

I did the same thing and got the same deal. The only thing I use it for is Howard Stern. I never listen to music because, with our weak audio system Sirius music sounds terrible. For music I use Spotify Premium which has the highest bitrate of all the services and actually sounds really good in our cars.

I am willing to pay abt $10/month max. Have never subscribed for their rip off prices. It is a sunk cost for them and incremental revenue. I fully understand their satellite business model. I pass.

You could use spotify if you want, it's cheaper and if you have android auto/carplay it is incredibly integrated, you can have it play specific songs, artists, and ect, all through the sync button on the steering wheel.

I just re-upped my F-150 on the "Select" plan (no internet listening) for $34.10 for 6 months, last night. I really only listen to Howard Stern. I also set an Outlook calendar reminder to cancel in about 6 months just before the $18.change/month rate kicks in. They will always renegotiate when you call to cancel. The best deal I ever received from them was the "all access" plan for $40/6 months. You can cancel at any time. Just give them a ring and tell them you want the $30/6 months rate or you're canceling.

I couldn't do with out my SiriusXM + premium for weather and traffic updates in my truck.
But if you guys would have just bought the 16 trackpack and base 15 GT/PP like me, you wouldn't have to worry about any satellite radio! Lol.
Music is not a high priority for me so I just put some go fast tunes on my very old iPod and USB it in the center consul.

^ This. I've been on a 79 per year plan since 2008. Every time they tell me that offer is no longer available, I cancel and within 2 minutes they honor the price. This last renewal, I was offered the same price but I realized a hardly every use it as I stream music now. I let it go.

Word of caution: NEVER, EVER Give XM your credit card number. They will mail you an invoice even though they may say they won't. If you give them your CC, you can count on being charged full rate when renewal comes and even after you cancel, they often will still charge and cause you headaches to get refunded. XM/Sirius has some of the worst tactics of any company.

DEFINITELY do this!! Not just for satellite radio but for cable, internet, cell service...maybe not every few months but at least once a year. I paid $34 for six months on the GT350- salt left late last winter and came early this year so I have a bit under a month left. I'll cancel if I can't get the same or similar deal next spring.

That's a great price, Hiz! I'm still pissed they started billing for streaming separately...

They have offered me $5 for 5 months, but that seems like too much money to me, so I haven't subscribed.
