Yes... as soon as we unpack the UI files we will see.
But I don't a wallpaper there, is a full set of graphics that has to be customized.

I don't see this as a short term project. At the moment our skills are limited and we really need someone that know how to pack and unpack some of these files.

Down the road, but #1 project is the OBD one ...
LOL, I asked a Mod if we could start a combined sticky about tips/tricks/fixes/issues for these units, got no reply?

I have time issues, but I resolved it by going ahead 1 time zone. If there's something you need found, I'd be happy to help.

This is just a little bug the software engineers didn't pay attention to.
I'm looking for someone that has his time really messed up.

Whenever I start the car it usually takes about 5 min before it will show the correct time.... Always defaults to 12:07.

The answer to this which I was hoping not to answer is (a):

The unit uses the time from the GPS so when you start your car the unit starts with 12:07 then it should correct the time within 15 secs

I think your problem is happening because your in an underground parking or a covered parking where there's no GPS signal available.

Please try it and let me know!

Couldn't be any more opposite of the location! Haha wide open sky with a prefect gps signal. If I have nav set to start automatically, within 10 seconds it has acquired the signal.

Nope.... Time usually gets to about 12:09-12:10 before it will set to current time.

Yeah takes 10-15 for the system to acquire the GPS signal and correct the time, but is it faster with WOS? Lol (wide open sky)

Haha not sure as all of my usage is with WOS. I certainly think the unit should be able to boot with the correct time and not have to default to a arbitrary time until it "resets" to GPS time. I don't even understand why the base windows system can't hold the current time. Just another one of those cost cutting measures of the unit I guess.

Exactly what I was thinking, there should be a battery or anything else for that or use the car clock somehow or even prioritize the process that's responsible of correcting the time based on the GPS location.

I just read different articles about WINCE, it seems that most of its devices don't have a battery to keep the time - so I think our best bet is to try and make the time correction faster somehow

Why not take the time from the Sync module? The OEM equipment kept the time just fine.
