I have a 2018 RAM truck with premium sound. I would love for my 2020 GT to have at least that good of a system also

There are no simple plug and play speakers because they are all different ohm spec.

With 9 speaker car I changed all speakers, added OE sub enclosure w JL sub, Audison AP Bit 8.9 DSP amp installed in OE amp kick panel location with plug and play Idata harness. Also some sound deadening.

Tweets, mids, 6.5 and sub are active. Don't use center or rear speakers. It's amazing. The amp is for sale in classified now because I am upgrading to Audison 12.14 when it's sold.

You need a DSP amp first and foremost. Then tweets and mids to match door 6.5 4 ohm at the least, dont worry about the speaker quality because OE is garbage, anything is an improvement. OE 6.5s aren't bad. I threw all mine away.

I enjoy music but do not enjoy ripping my car apart, so i am going to have the work done by a professional….after going back and forth between 3 local car stereo shops….

i am going with a route somewhat similar to S550, i am getting the audison 12 channel amp and replacing the stocks and sub with audison speakers…. Ive been waiting looking, going back and forth with stereo shops for almost a year, and finally getting it installed next week… I know this no help to the OP…sorry….
. Im just so excited to finally be getting the upgrade…. I love my GT but am disappointed with the audio quality.

Ive got the 12 speakers all being replaced except the front dash speaker
And yes, i am having them do the deadoning done (thanks to advice from this forum)

although the guy said the rears might be a little tight to so with all the convertible stuff (without looking there) , but others here have done it so i am sure its doable… and ill have the back seat speakers deadoned too

how many Benjamins?
Crazy expensive…
I went back and forth between 3 places, the place i ended up going with was the most expensive but was doing the 1000 w amp. I listened to a similar setup he did in a 2024 jeep and it literally hurt my ears it was so loud! But sounded fantastic. I think the amp alone sells for around 2k (amazon) i priced the setup piece by piece from his quote and equipment was around 4700$ - insane i know…

But im 61 this is my DD car and i have a long ride… im gonna enjoy the ride. Hopefully not go deaf on the way lol

I did install rear speakers but rattles plus road noise coming through the rear side panel perforations annoyed me, so I put deadening over the perforations, and all over the back side of the panel...much better. Then I used the 2 channels bridged to sub.

There is zero room there to get deadening on the qtr panel unless remove the entire convertible mechanisim.

When I do the 12.14 I will spend the time to isolate rattles with butyl cord on everthing that touches the unibody, and the fuzzy tape for plastic on plastic, seal speakers against panel with foam, and go active with the extra channels as back fill - probably not worth the effort but will be interesting.
