Most definitely. We have successfully done several of those builds for more road race focused cars. More contact patch equals more grip.

On a cftp car would 11.5 square be acceptable?

Yes, 20 x 11.5 square with 315/30/20 tires. No rubbing on a CFTP with proper offsets/spacers. Now, I can rotate all four wheels for more even tire wear.

The offsets are highly dependent on wheel design and desired fitment (tucked, flush, or poke). This is where Terrance excels. He fulfilled all of my requests.
