Custom work is usually something I try to avoid. It houses the most amount of risk and room for error when trying to bring someone else's vision to life. It consumes a lot more time and generally I cant charge people enough to recoup the amount of added personal time I have to invest to do it right. Yet and still, this is where the biggest rewards are.

I took on a project for one of our Shelby brethren named Butch. He acquired a Heritage Edition Package GT350 and wanted to do something special with it. Custom Guardsmen Blue faces for his mulitpiece Signature Wheel SV306S. This was a first for me in terms of a custom build as I have only done a few of our monoblock wheels in this custom finish. I will be shipping these to their new home this week and really look forward to seeing them mounted up on the car.

This has me excited about doing some custom Brittany Blue work for the upcoming GT500 Heritage Edition. Guess I am just a sucker for cool shit...

It's no secret that cars keep getting heavier, faster and more capable. Constantly raising the performance envelope, and also the level of potential risk to drivers. Our team at Signature Wheel has been focused on building wheel options that provide incredible aesthetic value and motorsports level performance. Which is why we developed our all new Signature Reinforced Architecture (SRA).

On the surface some designs may look the same, but additional reinforcing has been made to the wheel spoke and hub. We are always balancing the properties of Strength, stiffness, weight, and cost. Maintaining a perfect balance between them has always been our focus. The new SRA option now shifts that focus toward strength and stiffness. While adding a small amount of cost and weight (1-1.5 lbs), we create a wheel with an even higher resilience to flex and fatigue. The ultimate goal being that if you are in a collision while racing, the wheel retains its structural integrity enough to allow you to still control the vehicle to a safe stop.

Over the past few years we have had excellent real world testing from owners setting lap records at Gridlife, dodging potholes in their home town, or being the quickest/fastest to roll down the drag strip. We are now raising our own bar, and the SRA option will exist for those clientele who need the utmost of performance. This option will be available for an additional cost for our Monoblock and Track Series wheels.

As others seek to attach themselves to our reputation we are creating ever widening lines to show that our engineering, design focus and level of performance are unique. Materials placement, hub reinforcement, spoke thickness and spoke angles all play a part in how strong a wheel is, resiliency to fatigue and costs to produce. This is just a small glimpse into one of the many reasons why we are not the same.

Nice as always. I picked up a new set of w0’s from a forum member for my HepR, after texting you. Random question. Any idea what brand of trailer that 500 is on? If not any chance you can find out? The length on the dove looks like it would work with a lowered 350.

What color is best suited to Magnetic with black stripes? Black is ok, but I wonder if brushed or polished would be better.
