I don't know your level of experience in dealing with this stuff, so take my comments in that context.

Did you pick the shop?
Personally - I would take to Ford only.
Don't let them pick the shop, usually not a good thing.

Also, make sure you tell them OEM parts only. They will try to tell you some bullshit about the possibility of using used OEM parts if they can find them and if not they will buy new ones etc...total bullshit, they won't find anything used on this car.

Just my 2 cents - I've dealt with this many of a times and I have been screwed and learned my lesson. Not all repairs are the same.

I picked the shop. In California the consumer has the right to use a shop of their choice for repairs. I chose a well known bodyshop in my area that does excellent work and lots of great reviews. They only use OEM parts and they did an excellent job on my other half's F150 after he got rear-ended. I will make sure to tell the shop OEM parts only. Also in California the consumer has a right to see the entire invoice as well as an itemized list of parts and materials used for the repair.

Did the lady who caused the accident offer any explanation why she wasn't paying attention? This stuff drives me crazy.

That sucks man, really sorry. Be watchful for the paint shop on the color match; Guard is hard to match (I know this from sad, sad experience)

This sucks man. I don't think it will be totaled, but who knows. My friend got into a wreck recently as well with his 06 ML500. Damage looks much less serious than yours, but it will cost him something like $7500 to fix it. Alls he has is a cracked bumper and grille. But not the headlight has to be replaced because the bracket (plastic thing that holds it at the top) is torn, and there's some frame damage as well, and the fog light got pushed in. Needless to say, it looked really minor, but ended up costing a lot more. I would hope that they total out your car instead of fixing it. If you buy another one off the lot, it would take less time and hassle. I hate filling out the diagrams and forms for insurance. Those are the worst.

She said she didn't see me. I didn't have a stop sign but she did. The witnesses at the scene (there were many of them) all told me that it wasn't my fault and that she didn't even stop. The officer even took down statements from two different people and both of them said I wasn't at fault. When I saw her coming through she wasn't even looking in my direction. I laid on the horn and slammed on the brakes but it was too late.

Yeah this one looks pretty minor. All it looks like to me is two new front fenders, a new hood, bumper, all the related components, two headlights, two new fog lights, and the bodywork associated with all those parts. But who knows what else will be found when the body shop starts taking stuff apart. I just really hope it isn't totaled.

I doubt it will be totaled. Still too new and not enough damage IMO.
