You mean a quarter way through your 60k mile powertrain warranty?
You're right I was thinking of something else. (Shows how much I care about the warranty lol) Well there's no way I could wait that long to mod for sure. Anyway it's a total misconception that your warranty is just gone once you tune it. A lot of dealers including mine are ok with dealing with modified mustabgs

So your saying all 3 tunes from each company feel the same?
Yes, within the sensitivity of my butt dyno. All three produce just over 20 psi of peak boost and I get the same mid 5 sec. 0-60 times (I have a manual and just have not spent the time to perfect my launch and shift points to do better).

As I stated before the SCT's throttle response is a little touchier (same thing I found with the SCT on my Focus ST) than either the Steeda or Unleashed tunes and that is why i prefer them.

Stock, SCT and Steeda the air fuel ratio runs 13.9 to 14.1 when steady state cruising. The Unleashed tune runs 14.5 to 15.0 under the same condituons. This should equate to better mileage but I don't notice any difference between the three tunes. BUT, with the Unleashed you don't get any where near the same amount of soot on the exhaust tips.

The SCT tune comes with the hand held so it really is a no brained to try it and make your own decision. I have no explanation why JTMAT hasn't had the same experience. SCT has revised the tune several times may be tried an early version.

There's no need to compare this car to cars from the 60s. It's perfectly capable of competing with modern day cars. People need to stop with the trying to be a GT stuff, it's just about unlocking all of the EBs potential. My car in no way feels like it's being stressed beyond its limits and I drive hard (at least 1 race a day ;)). Some ppl on here are just plain paranoid. These tuning companies have a lot of experience with these cars and great reputations to go with it, they will not do something to your car that will make it fall apart. If you're too scared to modify your car then don't. I'm already almost halfway through my 30k mile powertrain warranty with no issues and the car runs beautifully
It's not the 90's or 00's, the internet and the instant news and whatnot weed out the crap instantly

If something was bad, you'd know about it even before you clicked "create thread", especially on a Mustang forum

My only fear is I won't be patient waiting out my power train warranty

This is good stuff guys! This thread is bringing it altogether for me. I love the light nimble turbo cars, so I don't really have any interest in the GT I already had 2 of those anyways, this platform rocks. 330 hp and 400 tq is what I'm after...

Awesome news seeing a member that has miles on a livernois tune which is showing itself true! That's awesome

And truthfully I never have A car passed owning it about 25,000 to 30,000 miles so if I could get the tune to simply last for 30,000 miles reliable and trouble-free for the most part and that is exactly what I am looking to do and I would be a very happy camper
Honestly, you are over-thinking this entire thing... relax, and get a tune.

I used the latest version... I'd be interested to hear what others have to say.

Obviously, I have nothing against SCT... and their free tune since I'm new to this "world of tuning". Plus, if I did not like SCT, I would have went with Cobb.

To be clear, the SCT tune did not provide the same amount of "go" power vs. unleashed when taking off. It is so different that I'm surprised someone else says they are the same. Unleashed was smooth when it shifted my automatic.

But I'd be interested to hear other opinions... new funny world I'm in. lol

There are no right or wrong here... I'm not trying to battle to be right. I felt what I felt with my car and that is what it is... interesting though. :D

That comment was a bit strange... not sure Torrie should be flattered being second (in your opinion). lol

Anyway, I saw your website when I was looking but did not understand the tuner hardware... I'm new to tunes and was told to get SCT or Cobb. Did not email you since there are so many companies with info on their website.

If you had something compatible with SCT, that might be interesting.
He should be, when you consider that we have been in the EcoBoost platform for over 6 years.

We use all of our own proprietary tuning software which gives us far greater access to the ECU. Because of all of the extra tables that we have access to and alter our tuning files will not fit onto an SCT, AP or other 3rd party tuning interface.

They've been known to make a little bit of power. I suggest you search back 7-8 months in here and look at their threads. There is a boatload of information about what their tune can do.

I learned a downside last night. Had another mustang chase me down and was behind me at a light. As I eased into the gas, I said F it and floored it, nice chirp from the tires, pulling away and hit third and let off the gas. Next thing I know is I see red and blue flashing lights behind me. Thankfully the cops were cool and since I said I was just playing with my new car and getting used to it, they told me to just slow down. The one guy said I should of got a Camaro, I told him I got a great deal on this Mustang and he laughed and said that he was just kidding and it was a nice car. :)
