Hey guys,

So tons there is a ton of information on how great tuning can be, with a list of numbers and advantages but rarely do I see any of the downfalls, mishaps or side effects.

Please don't site tuners names or slander any vendor in this discussion, but has any experiences any major challenges with tuning their car?

I'm looking for examples, resolutions, and the issues can be about drive ability all the way to a blown motor.

The fact that you haven't seen them is a testament to the rarity. People post more about problems than the good parts.

Stick with a proven tuner and not your local "tooner" and there are no side effects other than bigger smiles and faster/more efficient car.

Downside, tires and gas mileage. Boost is addicting.

Gas mileage. Under exact same driving conditions, I'm seeing 2mpg less.

Agreed for sure, this is all great news and info, I plan to use a reputable tuner that is on this board, I have been buying all my mods that I want then I will go for a tune, I am really interested in the testimonials from a customer who may have seen some troubles, but you guys are certainly right, seeing issues is a rarity for sure

My Cobra blew up on the dyno while being tuned, but it had nothing to do with the tune/tuner. I had a mechanical failure that sent parts through my motor. There is no such thing as a sure deal when it comes to cars. 99.9% of the time a tuned call will be no different from stock and even those .01% times aren't always from the tune.

If I lived in Michigan Livernois would have definitely been my only consideration. I'm not sure if they would charge any extra but I would love to be able to get a custom dyno tune from them

Yes it would be extra and livernois disappeared from the ecoboost crowd

I know very very little about the EB and what to expect, but that doesn't sound right. Equal driving conditions should be exactly the same or better. You need to get with your tuner or be very objective about how you are driving compared to stock.

Fwiw, I've never had a tuned car get worse that wasn't a tuner issue. I thought I did until I got more objective and looked at driving style from outside perspective.

We have not gone anywhere.
This is my (Jaimie) forum many of you have spoken to me VIA PM, on the phone and some of you guys I have been lucky enough to meet in person. There are several reasons why I personally have not posted much. On top of my normal answering the phone, managing our ([email protected]) email, managing my email ([email protected]), attending to walk-in clients, going to various shows, aiding with vehicle installation projects I am also the project manager for our all-new website that is launching soon. I'M ONLY ONE MAN GUYS CUT ME SOME SLACK LOL:headbonk:

I have never become unreachable, and I have not missed a single PM, email nor phone call. :first:

We have purchased other vehicles including a white GT S550 that we are engineering our own supercharger, heads, cam and a few other G14 classified :ninja: parts for!

It doesn't help that we have had at least 60 customer cars that we have to stay on top of. AND THEN, we always have vendors and professional race car drivers dropping in and surprising us with new project cars that have crazy deadlines for us to hit. And if that weren't enough, we are preparing for a few of our parts and vehicles to be on various TV shows and movies that are coming out! We have even hired 4 new employees...still not enough. :headbonk:

We wish that we had the manpower to have a group of guys only work on part dev, testing and advertising those projects. That would be AWESOME! Even though we are large company all of us wear several hats at the same time. Multi-tasking better be high up on your resume here lol.
