Do you guys think I should lower my car? Wheels are the stock black accent package 19x8.5 and I'm not going to run spacers, springs are minimum drop 1''.
It's obviously going to have that gross inside the fender look but is it worth lowering for the slightly improved handling and less wheel gap?

I plan on doing it. Probably the Ford Performance street with the 1" drop all round.

IME lowering accentuates the 'inside the fender' look whereas fitting wider wheels of the appropriate offset reduces it. Lowering 1" alone isn't going to give you a noticeable improvement in handling compared to say just wider rubber and a good alignment, even if it 'feels' that way because the ride is stiffer with aftermarket springs.

If you must have springs maybe get some PP1 take offs for a mild upgrade, and different wheels, and you'll probably end up with the best of both worlds vs just lowering.

You make a good point, the other option I was thinking of was to not lower it at all and just get 19x10 wheels on a square set up. I drive a lot in bad city streets so I don't mind the stock ride height. This opens up another back and forth for tires... debating between 285/35 or 275/40... leaning more towards the 275/40 because it fills the wheel well a bit better especially if the car isn't lowered.

I was thinking of lowering too and still might in the future. I decided on tires/wheels first and went with 19x10 square on 285/35/19….here’s a pic on stock suspension for reference

I think lowering the car will make it look better. But for me I won`t lower a daily driver again.

Nice! What wheels are those? Is there any poke in the rears or are the wheels pretty flush on the 19x10s? I'm looking at the SVE SP2's in 19x10 squared, but might go with 275/40 tires.

Lowered = Panty Dropper.

Ford set the S550’s ride height up like a Soccer Mom’s Crossover.
1.5” ~ 2.0” gets it done !

Sure, if looks is all you're after...Mach1 and GT350 just aren't that much lower than a stock GT.

PP1 is the same height as Base but with a small increase in rate. If you want to 'feel' a bit faster get a roll bar in the front.

This is an old picture of my car with your wheels with 1 inch drop steeda progressives, before I put new wheels on.
Now I did have spacers; 20mm if I remember correctly, all around.
It was just right.
I had the spacers on before i lowered it so I don't have any pics of that, but that is about the same gap you should end up with.

I too have the Black Accent Package and wanting to keep with the OEM 5 spoke style wheel I went with SVE R355. I like them because they're easy to clean tooo.

Na no issues at all. Had them on for around 2 years if I remember. Took them off when I put the new wheels on
