When is it off center? when in neutral?
Yes. I actually found a couple of close up pictures online. Is this what most people's look like, cuz if so, I can deal with that.

The question for you to answer is - do you want the no-miss shifts to 3rd and easy pull to 4th, or do you want it to sit dead center. The neutral position lines up closer to third. I find it stiffer to put in first gear, but it is a race spec shifter soooo 1st doesn't matter. I haven't missed a 2 /3 shift since installing and that is important to "me" :)

Good luck with your with search

I haven't heard of anyone missing shifts with any of the shifters (MGW, Steeda, Barton) I'll probably end up going with the steeda, like I said its zero degrees outside right now so I still have a few months before I tackle the shifter.

When you say it has a bit more noise, what noise do you mean exactly? road noise, mechanical noise? I have a borla S exhaust, would I hear it over that?
For the Steeda it is both. More road and mechanical noise. It is not noticeable when driving and the radio on or your exhaust note. You can add more insulation to lessen if you would like. I found no need to.

What makes you think the Steeda is second to MGW? Not considering Barton? Why not? Just curious

Have tried so many shifters over the years. Hurst, Steeda, Pro-5.0 so on and so on. Tried MGW for my 05' and never went back. Hands down the best shifter I have ever used.

Smooth and perfect shifting. Thought I would miss pull up reverse but nope, not for a second.

I would much rather the pull up than the push down. But that's just personal preference. I love my Barton shifter! I was just wondering why it wasn't considered. I have no NVH Increase in cabin and paired with their reverse lock out collar it is awesome. Feels great and those guys have the best customer service I've had experience with in a while.

From all I read when searching, it was barton, mgw or steeda with xmas sale fast approaching. If I had the money to play, I would have loved to have tried them all. Read until I got sick of reading and picked one. Fortunately, it worked out. Can't say its better than others, just that it worked out for "me". :headbang: One of the few things that has so far :headbonk:

I tried looking for this answer but couldn't find it...

Whats the advantage of having a direct transmission mount for a shifter?

The engine and transmission are constantly moving so you want the shifter to move with it to stay properly aligned.
