64 here. I don't have a wheel color prejudice. Have cars with painted silver, chrome and the Mustang with black. My first car with black wheels was an Escort back in the early, 80s.
I really like the RaceRed, black top and black wheels combo. I've swapped to black lugs since this picture.

I'm 67 and absolutely HATE black wheels. When I ordered my 2018 GT PP, I paid more to ditch the black wheels for these ones. I love the look.

Very nicely done. Excellent body color match to the wheels. Simplicity at its best.

I like black wheels when they contrast the paint color. I'm trying to pick a wheel for my Kona blue '20 GT which is pretty dark....maybe gray/graphite but nothing shiny that stands out too much.

All depends on the color of the car. I like black wheels but agree that when the wheel is too busy you cannot appreciate the detail unless you are up close. I chose gloss gunmetal. I like black chrome look where the wheel is not black but looks like metal, sort of like the E39 BMW M5.
