Hmmm do the 15's have the clear thick tape on the door edges cause my 16 does. Noticed it the other day at the gas station when the door was open and it was lifting up a bit on the inside edge.

Also this is why I don't try and treat my car as some exotic. You end up doing more damage to it yourself or it makes you more of a target.

The only damage to mine so far is some spots on the paint where rocks on the highway hit. This paint seems very thin. Oh and some rash on the front plastic spoiler. Was there when I bought it.
That can't be factory.

I did the dumbest thing ever... And less than 24 hours after getting my car. I was programming the garage door opener and had just finished. So I put the garage door opener in my jacket pocket and starting pulling into my garage. Then I realized I wouldn't fit because I had a box in front of me. So I pull the handbrake and get out and move the box. Then I get in the car and start moving forward slowly not realizing I had hit the button. My garage door is extremely quiet so I didn't notice until it was touching my car. So it reversed and went back up, but not before it left a bunch of micro scratches on my spoiler. I was so pissed. Funny thing is that I didn't even want the spoiler, but that's what the dealer found so I took it. The scratches are almost unnoticeable and I'm lucky only the spoiler took the hit. Never again!

Sup,

I am 37 years old. I drive in some pretty major cities. Toronto a lot. About 20,000 km a year. I have never backed into anything. Never had curb rash. I drive a 1997 F150 currently. A Crown Victoria before. No dents. No scuffs. No door dings. Maybe I am just very lucky. I don't even park away from people. I do like parking beside minivans. Sliding doors are hard to get dings from.

I will say this, i would rather have a dinged up S550 than the f150 I drive. Any day all day. I do also accept donations of S550, s197, Sn95, Fox Bodies as well. I can provide my address if needed. I can take all those dinged up, rashed cars free of charge.

When I closed the drivers side door it didn't close tightly so I pushed/palmed on it near door latch...Its tough to see but yesterday I noticed a slight crease in door panel near door handle...guess I don't know my own strength

note to self.....open door next time and close it right
