Next week, I'm going back to Motorsport & Performance, and then later to GT101 for a double-header of cosmetic mods. These will include:

1. Beith Performance carbon fiber steering wheel
2. White Madness Garage grabber blue gear selector
3. Ford Performance HP front splitter
4. Front Reg Plate dealer holder replaced with wrapped around reg plate
5. Anderson carbon fiber upper grille
6. Anderson Carbon fiber bonnet with Aerocatch pins
7. Engine Plaque Decals "Powered by Ford" in grabber blue

Are you doing anything with the faux light openings in the grille ie Bemaro graphics rings ? It’s something I’m considering for my car but can’t quite make my mind up.

With the Anderson Carbon Fiber Grille, they will no longer be faux. Instead, they will be mesh like the rest of the grill and provide a little extra air flow. I like the Bemaro rings, but I also want to see it all dark and carbon first.

Motorsport and Performance did a brilliant job yesterday installing this Beith Performance carbon steering wheel and White Madness Garage gear selector. More mods to come later this week.

Man i really dig the steering wheel. It looks fantastic. Dang your 21 came with the CD Player. I've got a 19 and it doesn't. If it did man i could break out all my old CD books of music. Hahaha i must be getting old.

Thanks, I really like the Beith wheel. The MAP guys said it fit well when they installed it. One thing that I like about the wheel is that the carbon inserts are the same fiber pattern as the wheel. Some on the market use different patterns, which to me doesn't look as good.

CD player? Mate, I never ever have that stereo on, it's windows open V-8 music only

Haha... I fancy music when i drive. Granted with my exhaust set up i still here my girl growl. Yeah i've got a carbon wheel as well but not with the inserts at the bottom or around the controls. Its just the wheel

Sorry guys, but #6 is not happening. Today, GT101 inspected the bonnet closely and unfortunately its clear-coat had some cracks in it. I appreciate that the guys examined it closely before installing it.

That's not good on such a large / expensive / long lead time part

Any pictures ?

Do you know if the cracks in the clear are from impact / transport damage etc or is it something more to do with bad manufacture / bad clear coat etc ?

I wonder how AC will deal with this issue due to the location and shipping etc

On another note, have you not thought of fitting some of the more simple mods yourself ? 'In my experience' it gives you a greater sense of satisfaction / pride

No, we are not going to try and refinish the carbon

It's difficult to know at this point. I was surprised that they apparently shipped it in a cardboard box. You know those rear window vents that I ordered from Asia that everybody hates? Those were shipped to me in a solid wood box. You could have stood on that box and not damaged the vents.

Mate, I have so few skills and no garage/tools, I can't do much. The only mod I did was the carbon overlay dashboard.

Ah what a nightmare on the carbon, I had a similar experience with a Seibon wing years ago, I ended up having it stabilised and painted, leaving the carbon showing in key areas, which actually looked fantastic!
