Drove the car back to London this afternoon. Very pleased with first impressions. The headers/cats/tune added over 100 ft-lbs of torque from 3,000-3,500 RPM. Motorway acceleration is completely different now. Overrun also sounds really good now. Grabber blue brake calipers and blue front seat belts came out well. Will provide more feedback as I put more miles on the car.
thats some amount of extra grunt. Sounds pretty good on the vid as well, did they add the 'crackle / pop' tune to the car or is that just a result of the extra breathing the car now has?

They added the crackle and pop. However, if you put the transmission in "D" or Normal, then there is no crackle and pop. But put it in "S" or anything other than Normal and it's glorious. I've can't stop using the paddle shifters now

Each to their own (and I know, Iā€™m the guy that bought a lime mustang ā€¦ :giggle:), but why would you want a Mustang to sound like a Audi / BMW / VW on overrun with a crackle tune ā€¦ ?

That car with that setup should make all kinds of wonderful noises without the need for additional assistance - itā€™s kind of like boning the misses with the soundtrack from a porn movie playing full blast ā€¦

I think the tone is much deeper than a European car, at least in person it is.

I should also explain that for me, I want the car to be a bit over-the-top, a bit silly perhaps. I originally was thinking about a 992, but this is not supposed to be, for me, a serious German sports car. I wanted something fun, something people say WTF?! Maybe even a bit cartoon-ish.

Each to their own indeed and if we all liked the same thing the world would be boring. Though if we did all like the same things would we notice any difference? It's cold and dark outside, let's all be happy šŸ˜

Isnt it funny that those who have had one bad experience and refused MAPs offer to "put right" any perceived issues, at their cost - several years ago, are still banging a drum about it?

oh - and there are those who have never ever been to MAP who enjoy telling everyone how bad things are there too!

If you actually consider the reality ---
MAP are the major Mustang shop for modifications, servicing and tuning in the North of the UK and have a fantastic reputation for their work. Most Mustang S550 owners have a really positive experience at MAP (I suppose there are always going to be the odd 1-2% that are never happy with stuff)
Why - oh why cant people be more positive nowadays? instead of always trying to put things down?

Both of my Mustangs have been to MAP several times - for modifications, tuning and even regular servicing - never had an issue with them - always professional and friendly and anytime there has been any issue - they always offer to put it right at their expense
Mate, did you ever get the headers put on your car? I remember you mentioned it in an older post.
