Scuff mark on Mach 1 handling package wheel

Hi guy,

Costco installed PS4S tires on my Mach 1 handling package. The wheel was perfect condition with no curb rash or mark, I included picture of the wheel before Costco did tires installation. Costco denied their responsibility and said this is due to rock chip. I need some professional opinion on if this is due to rock chip or due to tire install process. Thanks in advance.

That’s a bummer. Whenever I’ve taken the M1 to the shop for anything, I do a video walk around right before. Kinda like how a rental company does it prior to the delivery of a vehicle.

I would just touch-it up, the time lost dealing with this wouldn’t be worth it IMO.

Yea, like the others wrote, touch it up, move on. You'll probably get more chips in the future. You'll have the touch up paint on hand to deal with it.

What is the part number or color code for the hp wheel touch up paint? I would like to have some on hand if I need it.

Unless you called out that chip before you left the Costco location there is no way to prove they did anything. Since you didn't mention it we can only presume you saw it when you got home. As the others have said, move on. Touch it up and be done with it.

To add what others have said, touch up and roll with it.

Had a tire place cause similar damage years back on silver pp wheels. color was always a bit off compared to other 3 after. Noticable in certain conditions. Gunmetal/silvers have a ton of variance in them. Not always easy to match
