Schropp Strut Tower Brace

It just drops over the studs on the strut towers and run the nuts down. The only difficulty on my Ecoboost is there is not enough slack in the positive battery cable to get the brace under then onto the studs so it required disconnecting the cable from the battery. All together no more than 15 minutes to install.

That is the K-brace, it connects the cowl (firewall) to the strut towers.

With the strut tower and K braces the front is triangulated and becomes very stiff.

Neither of them are necessary or they would have fitted them to all versions of the car not just the Performance Package cars. In the case of the Ecoboost PP cars they felt the K-brace was more important than the strut brace and only fitted that.

That's Schropp's demo car, so it might be a US spec.

But I'll know this Friday, that's when we're installing it, together with my KW coilovers.

One thing - wouldn't it I terribly be weaker and thus offer less support/bracing if it is adjustable as you say?!! And why would it need to be adjustable? Aren't all out cars built identical?

My take on the Schropp brace is it is a very nice looking piece but it was not designed to work with the K-Brace. I certainly wouldn't remove the K-Brace to mount it. The Ford piece with the K-Brace will be much better.

Hmm a 1.9kg or 4.2 lbs. Its about a little more than a 40% weight reduction. I wonder what the GT350 brace weighs since it is aluminum, and works with the K Brace.
