Schropp Strut Tower Brace

Schropp Fahrzeugtechnik from Germany has developed their own design strut tower brace for the S550. I immediately ordered one, got it today and I have to say it's even better looking than I imagined from the pictures. Much nicer design than the ones from Ford or Steeda. Recommended

I'm not sure what it's made off. It looks like anodized aluminium. Don't have scales but I would guess it weighs about 3 pounds.

The center bow can be detached and adjusted.

Do how stiff you think it is compared to Ford Racing 18lb one ? Unless it's supposed to be cosmetic only, then never mind....

I haven't installed it yet so I couldn't tell you.

It mounts over the top nuts of the strut towers so I will combine installation with my coilovers, when I will need an alignment anyway.

Is there a shipping weight? BMR says the OEM GTPP brace weighs 7.6 lbs. If it is equal in performance. a 50% weight reduction would be nice.

It's just a guestimation on my part so it could easily be completely off. I'll have to check the shipping box at home for an indication and will try to find some scales to figure it out more precisely.

I have had friends take parts to the post office to get shipping quotes just to see what they way. Not a bad way to do it.

Does all GT got the k-brace but not the strut brace?
In that case I have an extra k-brace, I bought the ford performance kit with both braces.
Does EB got any of those braces?

My Ecoboost PP came with the Kbrace but not the strut brace. Picked up a GT take off for short change.

It has made a noticeable difference in how composed the car feels on bad pavement.
