Scheduling to build?

I want to start off by saying I don't want to get anyone's hopes up! I called my dealer today to ask about a 16 that is on the lot already, very similar to mine which is still in retail limbo. My dealer told me that they were notified today that it was switched to retail (the ok to buy) and that scheduling will begin on Thursday the 27th. I know by stalking this forum that it was set to switch on the 31st and schedule on Sept 4, build on the 8. Anyone else hearing this or am I getting some bum info?

I sure would like this to be true and it would be awesome if it is. However, I think the Aug 31st and Sep 3rd dates are most likely what it is going to be.

Maybe some dealers or insiders here that have a better pulse on internal information can shed some insight?

Without confirmation from Deysha or someone from Ford, I am taking this with a grain of salt. But, still the 31st is next week so not a big difference really.

From what my salesman told me also, this may be true. It may not make that much of a difference as has been said.

I'm hoping for confirmation, my salesman told me he got the email while I was on the phone with them. I'm not sure if they were just telling me this so I wouldn't go look at what the other dealerships have. I'm guessing there would be some more chatter on the forum if it was true. I'm still hoping though

My dealer in SE Michigan does not have any 16's yet, maybe 1 week in Sept. I ordered mine on 7/23 and got a build date today of 9/21.

Obviously dates can change, and I was told that, but mine as of now is scheduled to deliver on Sept 24th (at the dealer). Expecting to receive the sticker on Sept. 3rd with an approximate build date of one week later. This is from Deysha, and she warned that all ETA's are subject to change. This is about 2-4 weeks earlier than my expectations, so I was ecstatic to hear September was even possible. I know everyone is grasping at straws right now in the hopes of getting their ride sooner than later, as am I, but it sounds like late September to Mid-October.

Too late! My hopes are up. I ordered my retail order in the beginning of June. ugh... It's like mid eighties here in Jersey. I WANT my convertible.

I got an email yesterday from the dealer giving the VIN for my car. I thought great!!!

But when I looked at the VIN it is a coupe and my order is for a convertible. No joy.

My dealer told me the same thing. I dont have a VIN though but she said she was told it will be built in early Sept. I hope it is true...

Deysha PM'd me a few days ago with my VIN and scheduling date of 8/27 for my retail order...just checked this morning and my window sticker is available with a blend date of 9/1!! :ford:

You sure that's a retail order, not a stock order? What order type number shows on your DORA?

I didn't receive or ask for the DORA - ordered through a family friend who is the dealership GM. The order preview showed retail though its very possible he changed to stock to expedite :shrug:

Order number changed to D123 a few weeks ago when I received the VIN, not sure if that's relevant or not!
