You're looking at the pattern of the holes. Look at the non perfed area. That looks like now ties.

Not at all to me it that's a good thing ;)

I guess this confirms chrome trim for the tail lights.
The 50th anniversary pkg car that was at mustang Week had the chrome on the tail lights and grille but not around the windows.

I guess this confirms chrome trim for the tail lights.
The 20th Anniversary Package has chrome trim on the tail lights but not around the windows. Only the LE has chrome around the windows. I think all of the 2015s are going to have the same chrome on the headlights. I see above one picture without it, but I just looked through a few hundred pictures I've collected and all of them had chrome trim on the side of the headlights.

On an impulse I ran up today to check it out...got there around 5:15 and got to talk to all of the people there who were packing it up for the haul home; very nice people. I got to actually sit in it unlike at the Pittsburgh Auto Show, those perforation patterns don't look a thing like the Bow Tie in person...don't worry about that. Sadly, my phone was dead and I didn't bring a camera. They didn't have the 2014 next to it when I got there.

But my feelings and observations are still about the same. It looks much better in person when you can put its design elements and features into proper scale...somehow very similar to the S197, yet completely different. The interior somehow feels about the same to me as the S197, despite being completely different...whether it be the positioning of different things or what, they're somehow similar. I did notice soft touch materials throughout the entire door and dash. I forgot to check the back.

Other than that, the S550 in premium/50th trim looks so much better to me than the corresponding S197 V6/GT premiums or pony package cars...that's what it truly should be compared to. However, the car is "incomplete" to me...there's no key parts to it yet, like the GT500's large wing, or the California Special's black vents/louvers/pedestal, etc. IMHO, the S197 in special trim looks better...more distinctive, more fun, more pieced together, but that's not a fair comparison.

I really want to see what happens when Ford releases some special editions and appearance packages for this car, it could change my mind some and sort of hit home like the three American Muscle renderings or Mach 1 renders floating around. The S550 just needs a little something more IMHO but has far, far, far better bones than the S197 in comparable trim.

In short:

S197=
-Retro perfected
-Completed design
-Very butch and angular, basically a Hot Wheels car come to life.
-Steve McQueen personality.

S550=
-Modern
-Initial phase of a design plan.
-Sporty and classier design with some small muscle car elements there.
-James Bond personality.

They're different enough that the two cars could probably coexist separately IMHO...those who are in love with their 2013s and 2014s may not feel any buyers remorse. As for me, I'm very conflicted over grabbing a 2013/2014 GT for the same amount as the 2015 Ecoboost that I'd be getting...definitely reasons for preferring either car from a design perspective, they each are clearly going for something different and maybe separate demographics actually.

Better picture. Looks nothing like the Chubby bow tie...
Your picture does not look like the Bow-Tie pattern, amazing how camera angles can fool the eye...I would like to see some higher pixel Pics or better yet in person.

I went thru the interior thread, couldn't find one picture with the Bogus-Tie pattern. Most show no pattern except the Recaro's.

What version Mustang was that from?

Here is one from an LE, they all look pretty much like it-->

Love the wheels on the 50th appearance pack, still not feeling the chrome surrounds on taillights and I'm lukewarm to the corral surrounding pony.

the seats are nice, the doors are nice, the dashboard seems nice too....BUT this awful flat, cheap hardplastic middle console with 2 big holes ? Come on Ford that´s cheap and bad together; if you have nothing better; pls take that from the S197 nice angled and 2 arms can rest comfortable ! When comparing to BMW,AUDI, Mercedes or others....omg Ford get this out !

Speaking of the seats these few pics got me thinking of the 68B difference in the seats.

The unit Tony got to see appeared to be 68B and has the seats in the first pic with white double piped stitching on the edges.

Then earlier in this page we see a single white stitching on leather seats that appears to be even a different pattern. 3 white stitches spread out more...

Am I crazy or is this a possibility? If someone else pointed this out my bad I don't recall it....
