Related to my thread on wanting to replace the cover, I noticed some variations and was hoping someone can clarify.

For the standard coupe leather seats perforated centers, I see 2 types. One with standard perforation, and another where there are unperforated leather lines separating the perforated portions?

Also, for the bolsters, some seats have plain bolsters while others have a stiched portion in the bolster faces?

Also reference to 2015-2017 and 2018-up. I believe they will all fit though.

Any insights on these differences?

On my 2020, the Premium trim included leather trimmed seats, and the 401A package added "premier" trim with the color stitching.

For the GT premium (and I think Ecoboost premium ) you got leather trimmed seating which still had some vinyl in it.

You had to pay extra for the “Premier Trim With Color Accent Group” to get the fancy stitched stuff.

Ok, let's see if I got it right.

These are regular old GT Premium seats:

And these are the Premier seats:

That is correct. Bottom pic is part of 201/401A Premium Plus package that included nicer seating material and soft touch surfaces added to center console and door panels as well as digital instrument panel instead of mechanical gauges. Memory seats too.

Difference is between the 200a/400a premium trim level which had the “plain” bolsters, or the 201a/401a high premium trim level with the different perforation and extra seam.

The digital gauges must be an ‘18+ thing. 2015-2017 did not get those with 401A. It was just memory seats, Shaker Pro, BLIS, and special ambient lighting.

The premier trim was its own special package. I can’t remember if it was $395 or $495. I’d have to dig out my window sticker.

I'm not trying to confuse things but...
My '18 Ecoboost Premium convertible has the seats on the bottom with the white stitching. But the seatbelt holder/guide is like the top seat. I do not have the soft touch pads on the console. Also, FWIW, my door sill trim plate is silver with white lettering that lights up. IDK if that's an indication of trim level or not.

The illuminated door sill is listed on premium package mustangs from the brochures. The 2018+ cars got a little more stuff with the 201A/401A. And convertibles are a whole different beast.

The seatbelt holder has nothing to do with the trim level other than Coupe vs Convertible. The Coupe has the simple leather strap, the Convertible always have the plastic guides, no mater what trim level you have. From 050a all the way up to 401a.

You’re going to pay big $$$ if buying the upholstery covers from any Ford Parts counter at a Dealer…

Go on eBay and look at take off upholstery covers if that is all you need…. or there are complete seats too. Prices from some Sellers is fair, from others not so much.

I am slowly finding that out.

Looking around and doing that. Good covers are not as plentiful as the last time I was looking out of curiosity around a year ago or so.

Lots of vert sets though!

You made mention of perforated vs non-perforated. If you have the heat/cool seat option you'll definitely want the perforated seating.
