I have a feeling once you see the coupe you will be happy to wait the extra months to pick up the vert.
I don't get this line... is the coupe so ugly that he'll want to get the 'vert instead? :D

I reaaaaally want a 'vert, but some of the concepts of a more fastback 'stang on here have me doubting myself... and really, there's like 10 days a year I can take the top down.

The coupe will be shown first. Just meant, once he sees the car (in coupe form) I think he will be more than happy to wait if he really wants a vert (rather than look elsewhere).

A respected dealer on another site has also indicated production starting in July 2014........
I would not be surprised if Ford itself started to drop this info to dealers or other news outlets. For those that are holding out for a 2015, it could possibly push the impatient into opting for a 2014 knowing the S550 is still a while away.

As far as we know, this car is being designed as a coupe first. So they need to nail down the coupe before they chop the roof off and add a bunch of weight.
Dirk.. that's in the past. These days Mustang Verts are built from gown up as distinct models like current generation

I am fairly certain that one of the testers I've seen had no B pillar.

Does anybody have a link to a spy shot without a B pillar? I've never been able to find a shot like that.
