Would Ruby Red be difficult to colour match replacement panels?
With the pictures of these rides in this thread, I am leaning towards RR, however I am concerned with repairs and additions.

Any ideas, thoughts or experience?
I've got thread on here about Ruby being backed into. $4k esttmated damage with a rear quarter panel and bumper needing to be replaced.

Taking her to the best local body shop I could find on 8/26. They're certified to repair Bentleys, Jags, etc., so I'm hoping for the best on paint match.

I'll let you know how it turns out, but ruby red is a spectacular color.

Oh yeah. You're our Austrailian friend who's trying to decide on a color. The body shop is assuring me they can match the paint perfectly.

On a brighter note, I ordered Steeda's progressive springs this weekend. I'm gonna have them installed after the repairs are done. The springs should lower her an inch in the rear and a tad over an inch in the front.

After that, I'm going with a more agressive wheel and tire set up. Will probably stick with 19 inch wheels but maybe 10 and 11 inch wide and wider tires.

Have you seen any 2015s prowling around your neck of the woods yet? Starting to see more of them in Central Texas. Saw a blonde in a black GT PP the other day. Both were way hot!

Ruby Red is harder to match, but not nearly as bad as white. A lot of guys put aftermarket fenders on Ruby Red Raptors and don't have issues with colormatching. You just have to take it to a highly qualified shop that knows what they're doing.

Thanks, Blindside. Glad to here that.

As I've mentioned, the shop I'm taking her to is certified by Bentley, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Mercedes, etc. And their reviews on Yelp average out at 4 and half stars. If there's a more qualified shop around Austin, I haven't found it yet. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

It sounds like you've done your homework to make the best of an unfortunate situation.

I thought ruby red would be impossible to match. 2 months ago I got stuck behind a dump truck driver who was spilling rocks all over the highway. My car got chipped up pretty badly. I decided to take a settlement check instead of having them repaint certain parts of the car because i felt that I would be able to tell that it doesn't match an id hate the car because of it.

 Yep that's me. In fact there are many of us Down Underuns who are in the same boat. Our hearts get set on a colour, then check out a few build threads, and... well its back to the start.

From what I have read and seen on here, Steeda gear, most definitely seems to be the "good stuff" (I volunteer my car to be a test mule...lol)
The stance you will achieve will be most breath taking.:hail:

DONT FLAME ME...... I am thinking of bagging it with Airlift Performance. Best of both worlds being able to lower it slightly, and raising it in dodgy carp parks and driveways

Have you seen any 2015s prowling around your neck of the woods yet?
Hahahahahahaha you are so funny, without even trying to be:lol::lol:
Fu@k, Sh7T, DAMN, BA$TARD.... Cars are still not here yet.:frusty:
Late October seems to be the money, slowly trickling through to April
Some poor folks have been waiting over 18 months.
At least hopefully, any issues etc will have been sorted, so I guess the wait may be not that bad after all.
I have been told mine will be after July 2016:doh:

Dang, Paul. Wish you guys were getting your Stangs sooner. Well, when you do recieve them, I think y'all are going be pleased. I'm enjoying mine very much.

Recieved my Steeda sport progressive springs today. Drop her off 8/26 to get her patched up, then I'll install the lowering springs.

Next mod will be a more aggressive (wider) wheel/tire set up. Might stay with 19 inch wheels but go with 10 inch in the front and 11 inch in the rear. Or maybe a square set up with 10 inch all the way around. Decisions, decisions. Cheers, Mate.

I thought this picture shows the true beauty of ruby red

I have Triple Yellow on order here in the UK (after looking at EVERY photo of S550 online, I think it shows the car's lines the best), and I'm seriously torn by Guard (which is frankly bad@ss AND gives me my preferred Saddle interior), but this here Ruby Red is the most beautiful single S550 photo I've seen.

Hats off, sir.

Question for owners of Ruby Red --

Going to get a Mustang. I really love this color but everytime I see it in the wild it looks kinda cheap and plasticy. Granted some of the cars were dirty the lighting was a bit harsh.

Has anyone felt the same way or regretted the color choice?
