RUBY RED GT350/R Thread

I just saw in another thread that ford.com has been updated with 2017 models. I configured a RR with a black roof and added the black stripes with white trim. I was leaning toward not getting the stripe, but now that I see it, I am not. I might just get it or add the black roof as well.

Anyway back to trying to find a place that will order one for me without silly ADM.

Finally can see a non R in RR with the black roof and it looks incredible...:cheers:

I encourage anyone considering ANY color to go see it in person. Most of them look a little different in the "flesh". Ruby Red is not the exception. I thought it looked completely different when I saw it on a GT recently.

That's what I'm ordering. Not sure I get the "too much" part. If you like it, order it. I think the black roof and the stripes is the perfect combination and complements the black wheels even more. RR is a great color.

I struggled with the white pins. So I ordered without. Might put some 3rd solid black on once I get it though.

But I ordered the same thing, sans stripes.

I get what he's saying. IMO I would either do the roof OR the stripes, but to each his own. I personally decided for the just the roof as I've never been a huge fan of stripes on a car - even though it is rather iconic.

That combo looks incredible. I feel this is my all time favorite combo. I think it looks just as good as a R model. :doh:

The way the ruby red matches the brake lights tint, and the black trim all around. :amen:

I was struggling with the strips vs no stripes dilemma on RR ever since the 2017 configurator came online. Last night I finally decided that I will change my order from RR, black roof & no stripes to RR, black roof, with stripes. I plan on doing that today (no VIN yet, so I believe this shouldn't be an issue). When I originally placed an order at a dealership for a 2016 track pack, I chose CO, black roof, with black stripes. There was no question about stripes or no stripes, I couldn't see that color without the stripes, that color combination looked just right to me. We couldn't agree on the ADM of their last allocation, so I walked. However, with RR, it's a very difficult decision, both with or without stripes look fantastic.

Agreed that this is a natural. Someone had photoshopped this a long time ago along with I believe grabber blue. The grabber blue part came to be...

I will going with a clean RR. No stripes and no black roof. I have always been a stripes guy on all my other mustangs, but for this car I'm keeping it clean (for now). My one thought was to do custom matt black supersnake type stripe with hertz gold pinstripes. I'll have to do some renderings first. decisions, decisions

That's going to look sexy. I really think people are underestimating how beautiful this color is going to be on the Shelby (just the right amount of curves and black add ons).

How different from the photos in this thread?

Just guessing that the Ford rendering machine makes the cars look as if they would at dusk, and under sun they will still look good, just different.
