RTD discontinued?

i think the rtd app woks (server issues aside) its things like bt devces beig too close to the phone can cause rf issues and the phone model combined with the internet connection can play a role with the tdn app sucking. i had the rtd then got the mpvi3 and i think over 20 flashes 3 failed and th3 second go it worked.

Yeah relying on the users phone to be up to date and not connected to the car at the same time and a number of other issues, thats the challenge.

I found out if you go and buy a cheap android tablet 100.00 specifically for using the tdn app works great and is fast but with the phone it was not up to the task..bring it back b4 30 days and doesn't cost you a thing.

Wengerd also uses PCMtec. It takes less than 2 minutes to load a tune and revisions are really fast as it only writes anything that has changed in the tune, not the whole tune itself.

The only advantage to the RTD and the TDN, is to the tuner. They use this platform so that you cannot view or edit the files they create.

The MPVI3 and the VCM suite is superior in every way, but if using a tuning company, they won't send you files over email. They do this to protect themselves in the event that you edit a tune file, and then blow up your car and try to blame them for it. There is nothing magical or custom about the tune you receive from any of the mainstream tuners. It is a base file for the modifications you have that they already created, and then they can quickly tweak the file for variables like injector type, fuel type, throttle body diameter etc.

Is there a way to get the tune from the car if it was flashed from tdn?
