Roush stage 3 exhaust

Anyone out there have a Roush stage 3 axle back system on their 2018-2023 GT's.? Just bought one (not installed as of yet), and now having 2nd thoughts due the loudness by design. Living in SoCal I don't want it too loud.

If it’s the one that looks like Steeda’s exhaust, it’s loud, especially if paired with headers. I‘m speaking from personal experience here.

That system will definitely be quieter. Probably close to a factory exhaust or slightly louder.

I have a 2019 S3 Roush build with the axle backs on otherwise stock exhaust. I love the sound, and get compliments on it frequently. It's louder than stock, but definetely not by a huge margin. That tone though AMAZING imo.

I am full cat back and think the sound is just right. I would not add headers though because I know that would put it over the top. You don't show a H or X pipe in your picture, so if using the stock resonator, it won't be very loud.

currently I am running OEM mufflers with a Steeda x pipe. It is just a little below the legal limit in California. So I will be adding a resonator to the Roush set up. At least for the first round.

The resonator should keep you right under the limit.
