Roush S/C

I'm pretty certain I will be buying a 2018 GT and seriously considering the 700HP Roush S/C. Is anyone here thinking of doing the same thing?

Sure would be cool to have that kinda power when you want it. I'm guessing that package is going to retail for around 7 grand and hopefully available for less through one of the vendors. I'm actually thinking about just having the dealer install it for an agreed upon price that we could negotiate prior to the sale of the car and have it delivered with the S/C installed.

I'm more of a fan of NA than FI. I'll likely build to the point that it's SC or open the engine and decide then.

Yeah I follow you with the NA vs FI. I just can't see how you would ever see that kind of torque curve in a normally aspirated 5.0. I'm nover going to be road racing in 90 degree weather so its really not that much of an issue at that point.

Maybe this is when the 3.15 A10 might shine vs PP 3.55, Traction and Top end?

I figure after the warranty is up I can tune it or change the pulley and have the excitement of a new car.

I am debating on letting the dealer do the install or a vendor like LMR which is not too far from me. I am several months away from the purchase so I have not even worked out the cost differences yet. I will give the dealer the first stab at winning my business though.

I will say March can’t get here fast enough. Waiting on some work bonus stuff, the prices to come down and for an accident to be 3 years old so the insurance doesn’t kill me. I am potentially going to have to order in early Feb I guess to hit my timeline.

I am seriously thinking about it. My 2018 GT should be here in a couple weeks. Still need to wait for the Roush S/C to come out. Already ordered some 10.5x19 front and 11.5x19 rear wheels. They should get here about the same time as the car.

It seems the Whipples are definitely better and higher HP. Just scared about the warranty with FI and not wanting to make my motor a paperweight.

Whipple sells a warranty also, the Roush will still voids your factory warrenty and uses a Roush watrenty.

I am also in California so I have to worry about big brother and the smog laws. I was just on the Whipple site and did not see anything about 50 state smog legal.
