Probably something to do with not being able to guarantee that your stock motor and drivetrain will hold up to that much power for 36k miles, even if they can. Same reason why Ford doesn't warranty their drivetrains for more than 36k when you can get 100k+ miles out of them without any major problems.

Kyle,

Could you elaborate on what is different from the 670 kit in the statement below? I am particularly interested in any additional cooling features that were added. Also will this kit be getting an EO number in the future. THANKS!

The Phase 2 Supercharger Kit includes the complete Phase 2 ROUSHcharger system as well as an all-new, high-capacity, low-restriction air filter with complete induction system, a large fabricated aluminum intercooler, full-face low-temperature radiator, and high-capacity degas bottle, ROUSH-designed high-flow fuel rail with upgraded fuel injectors, a large 60mm dual-bore throttle body, Motorcraft Hi-Performance Spark Plugs, and an 80mm pulley to allow for higher boost. A custom-designed, heavy-duty first sheave FEAD system prevents belt failure, and allows for popular pulley size revisions without belt changes. A plug-and-play fuel pump control module increases fuel flow, and a ROUSH calibration file is delivered via an exclusive ROUSH Diagnostic Tool (RDT).

If I have to cut off parts and grind the block to install a Roush Supercharger, I'll pass and buy the totally redesigned Edelbrock SC.

The phase 2 upgrade is the BAP, plugs, pulley, and tune.... everything else in that description is the complete phase 2 kit.... The reason that description is worded like that is because they are describing the entire phase 2 system (what you would get if you bought the phase 2 supercharger kit for $7500).

As mentioned above you're seeing a description for the entire Phase 2 system as opposed to the 1-2 upgrade.

This thread has potential... To become snarky like some of the other SC threads.

Yeah, these threads are all "bait" for certain 'other' guys who seem to like to come & piss on everyone who chose a different product. Like we are all a bunch of stupids for make the choices we did.

Just ignore them - I do ;)

I think the fact that this is not 50 state emissions legal is a valid point that should be noted for those who want/need it to be.

I poorly wrote a post in another thread and I'd just like to elaborate it a little more clearly about the Phase 2 kit and warranty. When I bought my GT I had specific goals in mind....1st thing was to put an exhaust on, 2nd Was to go FI (Roush) 3rd was to put a suspension under it. At the FI stage a warranty was offered and I declined it for many reasons. I'm sure Whipples warranty reads very similar as Roush so let's not throw stones about brands. My first thought was if I break a half/drive shaft what am I getting in return another Ford shaft,,,, wouldn't I want to replace it with a better higher rated one? If I burn something say a little more serious like a piston or rod/cam ( witch we all know is a possibility when putting a FI system on) do I really want to replace any of these items with OEM parts, or are you running to your local speed shop to upgrade? How about the clutch will Roush want to pro-rate a wear and tear item, and again are you putting a OEM ford clutch back in or upgrading? The point I'm getting at is I've seen guys putting literally thousands on top of thousands of dollars into these cars to increasing HP sometimes more than doubling the factory 435hp and still question warranty. I don't think it would hurt to ask Roush if you cancelled your original warranty on the Phase 1 if they would pro-rate the difference of the 3yr 36k miles remaining on your deal, never hurts to ask. But in all honesty how much HP should they warranty, is their a number? Roush has just offered us the chance to basically bolt on 725+HP in an afternoon!!!! That's almost 300 more horse than the car came with!! I guess in my opinion I wouldn't nor would I expect a company to warranty a system where you adding around 75% more power than the car was even rated for! The nice thing is Ford did a great job on these cars and they are holding up exceptionally well ! That's just my 2cents worth

When someone gets this loaded a review would be great. Might be a month for me due to weather. Really curious as to the driving characteristics.

Lol this is exactly my only issue here. I'll most likely be calling first thing Monday morning to get some answers on this. I can understand having to draw the line on warranty (not a biggie by any means for me personally), but it'd be get part of the money back from the warranty on Phase 1.
