I'm getting ready to install a Roush Phase 2 supercharger on my 2017 Mustang. The mods I currently am running on the car are Roush axle backs and the x pipe resonator delete. I'm going to run a Lund tune which I already have in the car but when I contacted Lund about upgrading the tune for the supercharger they told me that the 45 pound injectors are too small. Can anyone help me clarify if this is true or not? Thanks in advance.

They are correct. You will need to run at a minimum 56lb injectors for pump gas, but your best bet would be FIC1000’s, DW95’s or ID1050X for more headroom and additional power down the road.

Thanks much for the information. I'll probably go with the 1040's Hopefully I can find a deal during Black Friday.

FIC1000H is an excellent injector and retail for $700. See if you can get a deal somewhere or hold out for Black Friday sale prices!

I had a 17 with the Roush Phase 2 and custom tune with FIC1000H’s and was a great set up. Your going to enjoy it!

Thanks, that's very helpful. Cost keeps going up. I'm going to install the oil pump gear and crank sprocket just for peace of mind. I've got a Ngauge and Lund wants $500 for the new tune. I feel like I'm being mugged. I'm going to have my install shop handle the tune. They work on and race Mustangs exclusively.

As others have stated you'll want a 1000cc injector and fuel pump booster minimum for pump gas, if you want to go with E85 you'll need the 1000cc injector and a dual pump return style fuel system.

I keep injectors and fuel pump boosters in stock ready to go as well. Hit me up and I can get you hooked up.

Beefcake his Roush Phase 2 kit for the 15-17 should have the fuel pump booster included. Hit up Beefcake Racing for your injectors though!

Gotta ask if going custom tune straight out the gate why go with the Roush unit? Normally that kit is chosen for warranty and driveability of the tune. But if going custom it seems like there are options that would not have the same heat issues etc. Just curious is all.

Maybe the OP's car is out of warranty and they are going aftermarket tuning? Just a guess.

I've heard/was told no heat issues with phase 2. The reason I'm going with a tune other than Roush is that from most everything I've read the Roush tune isn't that good. I'm running a Lund tune at present but my installer is a long time Mustang guy so I'm going with his tune. He's installed lots of Superchargers and I trust him. My cars a daily driver. I wanted Roush because it's Ford specific.

There are different levels of tuning but I've read the Roush tune leaves a lot to be desired. I'll let everyone know how it works out. I had a Superformance Cobra before the Mustang.
