While my car was up at Roush they fitted it with their axleback kit. The standard kit. I car was delivered to me yesterday and all I can say from the drive home is WOW!

If I had know the sound was this good I would have purchased it with the car originally. I spent a lot of time with my 2014 trying to get the right sound by removing the cats, adding a midpipe, and going through a couple different axlebacks (none of which I was ever 100% happy with).

The 2015 is a different story altogether. I was toying with the idea to get the FRPP x-pipe, but the sound out of this axleback alone is exactly what I am looking for. It's loud but not obnoxious. It growls like the outlaws but with no drone at all. When you hit the higher RPMs it lets everyone know you're there.

So if someone out there is looking for simple mods to make the car sound awesome easily, this is the kit you want. :headbang:

Congrats on the new setup!

I loved the Roush axleback when we ran it. Such a great sounding exhaust.

Glad you like them, mine are sitting @ Elder (along with my S/C & a pile of other stuff) awaiting the arrival of the car :D

If you get the chance, drive your car (or another) stock first. You will be amazed at how much better it sounds...

I have the FRPP Sport. But I have been wanting to change to the Roush AB and keep my X Pipe. might just go H pipe on my borla and see if that deepens the tone a little.

Yeah, I drove 3 before ordering :) 1 stocker, 1 with the single tip, 1 with the quad (with the baffles on & off). Single tip was exactly the sound I was going for & there was no delectable drone at any speed (an absolute "must" for me).

How does the volume level compare on the Roush to say the Ford Racing Sport?

Personally I haven't heard the ford exhaust in person, i will say we tend to make our exhaust on the aggressive side, the cans do not contain any packing material, it will become quite loud if you removal the resonator as well.

Is this exhaust really loud on cold starts? Hate to be the annoying neighbor with super loud car when I start it. Been going back and forth between borla touring catback and roush or borla axle back(not a fan of borla tips either)

If you just start the car & pull away like a normal person, noise should not be an issue. If you start & then rev the car, they will be loud ! The Borla's were too raspy for my taste, but it is a matter of taste - obviously many prefer that sound.

Which borla did you have? The touring catback uses a resonator instead of h or X pipe so wouldn't think it would be raspy at all.

It's not too bad. My outlaws were horrible for that! It's louder than stock for sure, but it doesn't bother my neighbors.

Didn't get to drive them all as much as I would have liked :D

Got to hear a number of diff setups @ a large 'stang meet a while back, Borla being one. I didn't care for it all that much, but the guy who owned it loved it - it's all a matter of taste !
