I read about issues with rotors with inverted cooling mentioned in several threads during during my brake related searches. I wasn't aware of potential issues when I took these pictures but I can see them clearly now. Creating a new thread to avoid highjacking others.

EBPP/base GT front with stock rotor. You can clearly see that the opening for vanes is on the outside so cooling ducts on the backing plate won't be very effective. This also explains stock shield covering up the entire backside.

Rear (both EBPP/base GT and GTPP) has the same issue.

I got the EradiSpeed rotors mainly for weight savings but didn't realize that they also corrected the cooling issue back then.

Thanks! Had I known about OEM rotors being the main factor in heat issue at the track with the 4 piston calipers earlier, I would've kept the capliers with EradiSpeeds and just add the cooling ducts. But since I already had GTPP calipers on hand, I went ahead with the swap.

Did you remove the backing plates?

The Baer eradispeed 2 piece rotors are so awesome. Very happy with mine. Just make sure the veins are pointing the right direction!

15" rotors front and rear. Both 1.33" thick. Calipers are the same front/rear as well, but the rear calipers have smaller piston sizes to maintain proper front/rear brake bias. For sure a well engineered system that is flat out amazing compared to the factory PP setup.

Sorry forgot to mention I didn't re-install either of the shields front or rear

↑↑↑ What are you going to attach brake cooling ducts to?

Norm
JLT kit came with its own backing to mount the ducts (I believe other kits do as well) that's thicker and stiffer than the flimsy OEM shield. It does bend outward a little bit when the wheels are turned all the way and the ducts get compressed but still have plenty of clearance. I haven't found any cooling kits for the rear, though.

I'm actually going to fab some up myself when it cools off here in Phoenix a bit.

Honestly haven't sorted all of that out yet. No plans to do anything with the rears, just front if I can figure out a way to get an inlet built.
