Until 24 Hour endurance races are part of the Mustang Motorsport, they won't be eager to use a EB 3.5 in one. The real benefit of the EB V6 in these 24 Hour races is LESS Pit stops for fuel compared to the Corvette's LS7 V8.

I wonder how long that lasts? They said on the broadcast that the Ford EB cars get 2 more liters of fuel than the chevys, and a lap or so more per tank.
It would be interesting to see how much fuel each of the top couple cars used to complete the race. Sebring should be fun in a couple weeks.:ford:

You gotta go for the whole weekend. Nothing better than hearing the cars at night. With the cooler denser air the speeds pick up and you can really hear the differences in the engines in different cars across whole track. Plus its just a 3 day party surrounding a race.

I read where the EB pitted a class high 34 times.
Don't know how many articles I've read saying that Chevy loss the race because their driver had high timed... smh strategy is a HUGE part of this race!

One of the reasons the Eco Boost won was beacuse on last pitstop they were in pits 3 seconds shorter than the Corvette team because they needed less fuel than the Chev. V 8

The DP 01 EB car pitted allot, due to a slipping clutch and then DNF's since it dropped to 7th place in class and could finish no lower.

The DP 02 EB that won had pits stops in number similar to the DP 'Vettes.

The 02 had a couple extra stops under yellow to replace the splitter and only lost one lap.
