Nice that they can manage the Hollywood fire. Seems the firefighters were way overstretched by all this.

My nephew is part of LAFD and he said the biggest issue was the winds. They really couldn't bring water droppers in at full force until last night.
Also didn't help that all those people decided to walk away from their cars in the middle of the streets and that hindered a quicker response. Not to mention this city is severely mismanaged.

I am sorry about your car. that sucks. I hope it was limited to the garage and not your entire house. Someone I know lost their house in the Palisades. Luckily they work from home are were able to get the important stuff out, but still doesn't take the sting away.

Sorry to share but HR 427 melted in the Palisades Fire. I couldn't get home in time to save her. Hope others in all the fire areas in LA are safe. Perfect condition 12k miles. I'll keep you all posted what insurance pays out. Far more valuable to me than I'm sure it will be to them.

I dodged roadblocks to see what I could find and there's nothing left - it melted and fell through the cement subfloor and you couldn't even see that it was a car. The R splitter was never installed and in its factory wrap waiting for the day. I bet it's a ball of plastic somewhere. Thank you all for the kind supportive words. Police found a couple of deceased in our neighborhood who didn't evacuate in time so the word to anybody who finds themselves in this situation is get out when you can.

Don't take insurances first offer if it is not "fair". Show comps - both sales and Listings (they knock 5% at least of those). My 300 SRT8 was stolen. after back and forth they move up almost 5 K with good comps.
