I am on 20"s and lowered significantly. Usually when I am in the car it's for 50-100 miles at a time. I also have my dampers set on 20/30 clicks to firm. No issues, never felt like it was too harsh.

Guys, those of you on 20's

Just fitted 20" Rovos Durban on my GT with PP. I am running Eibach Sportline Springs and MPSS tyres all round (255 35 and 275 35).

Pics posted here

All in all I am more than happy, they look awesome. I have a balancing issue that the tyre place will deal with but yesterday I drove on a concrete road and the noise was unbearable, I had to drive at 60mph as it was so bad above that.

Just wondered if any of you guys in the States have experience this with 20's.

I am from the UK but you probably guess that due to my 'proper' spelling of tyre!!!!!

With proper tire inflation, size, and alignment your ride quality shouldn't suffer with a 20" as opposed to a 18" or 19". I had the stock 19" on my GT for over a year and when I went to a 20" it improved performance and drive ability.

As may have been mentioned above, a smaller wheel can accommodate a larger sidewall tire, giving it more cushion to absorb bumps and imperfections in the road and providing a "smoother" ride. But with a performance vehicle such as this who wants a smooth ride? :headbonk:

I agree, a hard ride does not bother me at all but the noise does. I may check the 4 wheel alignment
