Does anyone know why Ford did not include the Oil Press gauge on RH drive Mach 1s?
I am wondering if it can be activated using Forscan?

Have done my mach 1 with forscan. Go into ipc and tick the box for oil pressure sensor and oul gauge. It will then appear in the gauges selection on dash. Set units to psi on dash as bar seems to max out on cold start.

The performance pack cars didn’t get an oil pressure gauge as well, only a light that comes on the dash if you lose oil pressure,US PP1 cars had an oil pressure gauge,I ended up fitting a ford performance oil pressure gauge in the centre dash vent and it looks factory, ran a brass tee adapter for factory dash light and the sender for the dash gauge.Dont no why right hand drive cars missed out?

My guess would be cost cutting, car manufacturers will go a long way to save pennies in car manufacture. A friend who used to work for Jaguar was telling me horror stories on what they will do to save money, they put bids out for a component for example and if a 1000 of it is cheaper by a fraction of a penny they will go for it. They measure the amount of fuel they put in on the production line so it has just enough to get to the dealer and not a litre more. Most fluids are filled to the minimum level knowing the dealer will top them up.
