My guidelines don't show when I reverse and when I go into park the camera remains on until I shift into park. Yes I turned the guidelines on and off, it's currently on. But they still won't show :( this happened after my car was in the repair shop after a rear end bumper collision. Any ideas or solutions?

Most times if the camera is replaced in a rear end accident the body shop will have to reprogram the system. It's something that can be over looked in the QC process since they aren't aware of the little details of the guide lines. Once it works they let it go.
Take it back to them and let them know about the guide lines. Worst case they will sublet it to your local dealer to have it reprogrammed. Might be without your car for a day. Nothing out of pocket to you

This EXACT thing happened to me last year after my car was also in the body shop for being rear ended. At some point during the repair, they said something strange happened. I don't recall exactly but I think they said my drivers side window went down (by itself) and wouldn't go back up. They unhooked the battery (and who knows what else) to reset everything. They thought they got everything working again.

I picked up the car a few days later and noticed that my guidelines were gone. They were showing up on the preview, just not on the actual screen when reversing. I took it back and they messed with it but couldn't get it to work. They even replaced the camera itself (which I figured was pointless since it seemed to be a software issue). I actually have the original camera as a backup.

Anyway, they couldn't fix it. I had to take it to the dealer where they had to reset/reinstall Sync. Of course they also had problems connected to the Ford server or something along those lines. It took 3 days but I finally got the car back and my lines working.

Moral of the story: Cut to the chase and just go to the dealer for a Sync reset.
