Hey guys just wondering if this is normal or not. I just picked up a premium pp 2015 mustang with 5k miles and I've noticed the backup camera doesn't have the guidlies.

I've seen YouTube videos of other people with the same package with guidlines on theirs. I've gone through the camera setting and all it shows is a preview picture but doesn't let me change any options.

My car has the 401a option with the side and rear sensors if that makes a difference.

On mine it was active, but had to turn off the parking assistance (sensors) to get the lines back again, maybe its a little flaw on the software.

I'll try that here in a bit. I know those sensors are active now. Thanks.

This is what it shows me when I go to settings>vehicle>camera settings. There is nothing to click other than the delay option.

Make sure your trunk is closed.. open your trunk and close it.. the guideline settings no longer exist. I had this issue in mine and it was the trunk not being closed all the way even though I thought it was

I must have opened and closed this 30 times by now just with regular use but I will close it extra hard and see. Thanks!

If still inoperative, it may be necessary to disconnect the battery for 5minutes with the driver’s door open, then drive the vehicle for 5 miles in normal city driving before performing the above procedure.

Had the same thing happen to me after a trunk install. I took it to the dealer and had the tech reprogram it and it went back to normal. Took him around 10 minutes and I was back on the road.
