Reverse Camera No Guidelines

Beating around town in a 2017 EB premium this week. Nice ride. When in reverse, there are no guidelines on the display. Checked owner's manual. It makes it sound as if the guidelines are not an 'on/off' function, and that they're always on. From the MFT display, I went into 'settings-vehicle-rear camera', and there is a preview snapshot that shows what the display should look like (complete with guidelines). The only selection available is for the reverse camera delay. Nothing else. Also, when in reverse, there is no + or - to zoom or unzoom the camera. I've looked through the cluster options and can't find anything related to the camera. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Make sure your trunk is closed. Some owners have reported that the guidelines dont show up when its open.

Unfortunately, you're probably going to need to schedule a visit to the dealer. I dealt with this exact thing about a year ago on my GT. They even replaced the camera (which was dumb since the camera worked fine, it was just the software that projected the lines).

Anyway, they had to "connect" with Ford's main computer to update or reinstall my Sync software. For me it took 3 days but apparently they were having trouble connecting with Ford's server. I would imagine if everything works as planned, it should be a day, if not a few hours.

Other than that, I would just tell you not to waste time trying to fix it yourself. There was absolutely nothing we could do. My buddy's shop even tried connecting using their fancy OBDII reader tool which shows whatever options are there. They could not get it to work.

Trunk is securely closed and still no lines. It's a rental, so I'll just deal. I was hoping there was a quick fix.
On a side note, we test drove the V6 and EB back in '15, and my wife decided she liked the V6 better (it was her car). Having been in the EB for 3 days now, I am kicking myself for not pushing the EB. This EB Premium is SWEET! At the time, $ was a big factor, though.
