Rev hang? Clutch sticking?

Driving on the freeway, 70mph. 4th gear. This has happened numerous times with this oem clutch. 5k miles on it.

Semi-spirited driving, it’s 70°F, car is warmed up.

It just sticks. The RPMs just hold, even though my foot is not on gas. It’s like I’m on cruise control when I’m not. It doesn’t let go for a while (1-2min) and the car doesn’t decelerate normally. If I try to shift into the next gear (4th to 5th) it slams it into the gear and jerks the car.

Any insight?

Rev hang for sure. Happens in mine as well, usually after getting off the gas after a pull. 1-2 mins seems crazy for it to hang for that long, but to be fair I've never held the clutch in for that long to see how long it'll hang for lol. If I see it hang I just release the clutch more slowly so the revs will come down to the right place once the bite point engages. But yes rev hang is a HUGE pain the ass and I hate it. It's especially annoying when you have a passenger and they think you just botched a shift but it's not your fault

Huh. Haven’t had the pleasure yet to notice much rev hang on my 2023. I can tell there’s a bit on the 1-2 shift but don’t notice much else

1st-2nd-3rd is the worst with the hang. But is only when you press the clutch in fully to shift up that it does this. Yours staying up like that is weird. Are you cruising with the clutch in the whole time? And why is your CEL on? Have you recently bleed the clutch or changed any components? Sounds like air or bad switch

nope. Clutch was disengaged. My feet weren’t on any pedal. The car was in 5th gear.

The dealer bled it after installing the new clutch 5k miles ago.
What do you mean by bad switch?

My car used to do that when it was new. It still hangs sometimes, but it will slowly creep down like it's supposed to now. I wonder if this is from a bad pcv valve that isn't fully shutting on decel and the car is running on oil vapors or something.
