My experience with this has been dealers don't know jack sh*t.

I second that!! My dealer has his name on the building and he was oblivious as to what this car came with. I had to help him do the order

My salesguy just got in contact with me via email last night.... Had been on vacation so the was a lag in comms... Will be notified when I get a build date and vin... Second to order from the dealer priority 15... hopefully mine will be in the VIN pool soon like, thursday... waiting 4 months seems like an eternity

My dealer could care less if I even ordered it seems. They don't contact me back unless I hound them and I typically don't bug them a ton. I might email them once a week just asking if they have any updates. My salesman seems to know pretty much nothing about the car and has to go to their ordering manager for every piece of info. It gets tiresome going through a middleman instead of talking straight with the source (the person at the lot that seems to know whats going on).

Man, yall have some good dealers. I got a call from my dealer like 3 days ago. that is ONLY because I went to the regional director and said that the new sales manager would not return any of my email or texts and i am becoming very upset with the dealership.

then, what do you know... i get a call lol

Talked to my dealer today he said : they haven't put a date on it yet. Order was picked up but no eta as of yet.

It isnt a retail order as long as OKTB date is still not achieved.

I do not think that the oktb will be achieved until the first runs of the stock orders have landed in the dealer lots.... just my assumption

From my dealer today. Seems to be exactly along the lines of what we have already been hearing.

They have not pulled any of our retail orders. We have 8 retail orders and none have been selected for scheduling. They have not announced an ok to buy on retail orders. I just got the ok on retail Expeditions today. We have four stock Mustang orders built, but no release date for shipping.

Any day now. My retail LE is getting pushed back day by day. No idea what the hold up is on it other than the lack of oktb

Yep I got contacted by email just a basic update saying they dont have any new info for me. Seeing how there was a one week delay back at the start of production and now the OKTB date looks like it was pushed back one week I'm thinking we should get our next lot of VINs assigned before the end of this week.

I'm not sure why I put myself through the daily checks for disappointment. Yes I know 1st world problems.

I went to my dealership today and sat down with the sales guy, now i have my order number and my VIN number and don't have to bug the dealership anymore.
