Retail Order Bonus Cash Certificate

I found out about this after I had ordered back in May but I can't seem to find anything official from Ford on it and my dealer never mentioned it. Supposedly you can get $1000 off on retail orders? Is this something directly from Ford or is it up to individual dealers to implement?

Just curious if I've got any ammo to negotiate this on my order since it's due to arrive in a few weeks.

Also, somewhat related question - how have dealers been when the MSRP goes up between when you order and when the car arrives? Is it a fight to get them to honor the original deal?

The only ammo that I can offer is I mentioned this when I ordered mine in April. They said I qualified and added it to the retail worksheet.

Yes, it should be applicable for your order and it is from Ford. See below. My dealer automatically charged the price of the car as when I ordered it vs the window sticker with the increases, and also subtracted the $1000 incentive. You should touch base with your dealer salesman to ensure no issue when the car arrives. The dealer gets the money from Ford!

Like so many things, we have to learn about them vs the dealer telling us. Such is a seller’s market. That incentive was definitely in effect when you ordered your car. Good luck.

Even though you qualify for it, this incentive may not have been announced until after you ordered. Also, keep in mind that not all dealers provide price protection guarantees.

I don`t think it works that way. You probably have to prove the incentive was active on a car in order to get it. I am sure Ford put something into place to prevent fraud with incentives.

As an update on this, I finally was able to talk to my dealer. They're honoring the original MSRP at the time of the order. However apparently the incentive has dropped to $500. They're applying that to my order at least.
