Trust me Metal, the tone and volume were barely changed, maybe ever so slightly deeper. Now as far as flow, no doubt it is better not going through the suitcase to get to the mufflers. Just eliminating the heat spots is worth it.

From a weight savings and heat spot perspective, it is worth it. I agree. I know the youtube videos I watched made it seem a good bit louder than stock, but it wasn't. If someone wants to do a resonator delete for volume, they're going to be disappointed like I was. I like the sound of the stock mufflers. They're just too quiet.

Edit: I have the Lethal Performance resonator delete. It's a well made piece and the shop where I had it installed said it went on without issue.

Edit 2: I'm a little cranky today, bear with me. I just had to put my 13 year old dog to rest. I'm a bit emotional.

Did not want to spend money on a a full exhaust system at the moment but can't stand how quiet the car is anymore. I went ahead and had the mufflers chopped off this morning and im really happy with how it turned out. Now i can actually hear the car and has a mellow deep tone, i can barely notice it with the windows up while cruising and still nice and quiet inside. When you get on it or rev it then it's a different story, sounds pretty good to me. I might keep it the way it is, cheap, sounds good and substantial weight savings.

Yes, left the resonator in place. Throttle respose felt like it has improved and turbo spool is also a bit louder from the back. You can also feel the car breathe better at higher rpms, or maybe just my imagination. ;)

That's what I was saying back in Post #2. If you leave the cat and res in place and just do the muffler delete, it sounds pretty darn good and is usually as cheap as dirt too. Glad to hear you like it.

Sterling, I think you're going to be really pleased with the MaxFlow mufflers.

Everyone says it not mush louder which I fine with but will there be more turbo spool sound? I wanted this mod for the turn sound mostly. Not sure if I should get the MBRP street instead.
