Hey guys I'm prepping up and getting ready to boost pretty soon. I already replaced all the suspension components and working on drivetrain rite now. Question is should I just slap the blower on or would it be best if I replace the pistons with lower compression pistons? I want the motor to be able to handle the power with good reliability.

I was looking at being right about 700rwhp as well. Enough to trap 10.8 or better on quarter mile. I just want it be reliable. I don't baby my car either but I do take care of it. I drive it like I stole it in most cases lol.

Our 15 Coyote with a 3.2L KB on it runs 11.0 all day everyday at stock CR with just the KB, CAI, tune and OPG. It only makes 617rwhp. You could slap on a 2.9, CAI, tune and OPG make your 700 and hit your goal easily!

So like I was saying, in regards to the OP's question, you do not need to drop CR in order to go FI and make good power. You can do a 2.8KB, 2.9W or even a 3.2KB and make the power you are looking for with better ET's than you are thinking about!

Okay great I just wanted to make sure I can get that type of power without damaging something. Now I'm stuck between choosing a Whipple or a Roush.

For sure, I get your concern! Upgrading the OPG is a must, plain and simple!

Honestly, @Whipple FTW! The best part is, let's say that later on your goals get lower (as in faster) or your power level desire increases the Whipple has that room to grow with you. The Roush kit is toast.

Forgive my ignorance but what is a opg?

It's all good! OPG is oil pump gear.
Okay good to know. So basically I'm thinking of going with the Whipple so whatever comes with the Whipple, cai, and opg. Anything else you guys recommend for the supercharger so everything is in tip top shape?

If you go with Whipple, for $450 there is a 3yr/36k from in-service for $5,000 worth of engine damage.

That's good to know. I thought only Roush gave that type of warranty.
