My door speakers buzz a little so replacing them with 6.5 inch 3 way speakers. I have the standard 4.2 inch display. Do you think I will notice much improvement in sound quality

The most important aspect of your choice besides the size for fitment reasons, will be the IMPEDANCE required by the amplifier to see as its load. The factory radio has requires a low impedance load. 8 ohm typical speaker would have no volume and poor response. Maybe someone can chime in with the impedance requirement for the front door speaker with your particular factory option radio. If the radio is looking for a 2 ohm speaker for instance, try to find one as close as possible for the best result. Almost anything aftermarket will sound better than factory as long as you mind the above.here are the spec

FYI: the base stereo has 6 speakers.I am not sure what speakers ford put in the standard 4.2 inch stereo
Yes you wouldIf I get quality speakers. Will I get a big difference in sound?
